Gift ideas delivered same-day in Manhattan
Curated gifts from local stores, at your door the same day.
Gifting is one of the things Whim is for. Here are gift ideas for every occasion, all sourced from local stores across Manhattan and delivered the same day, with no delivery fee on standard orders. Tell the Whim Concierge the occasion and it turns any of these into curated picks from stores near you.
By occasion
Birthday gifts
The occasion with a deadline and no grace period. A candle with some character, a book worth arguing over, a bakery box sent to the office.
Card idea: Happy birthday, love you.
Anniversary gifts
Saying something you have already said, without sounding rehearsed. A pair of something, a print of a street you both know, dessert timed to beat dinner.
Housewarming gifts
Useful on the first day and still in use four hundred days later. Something for the entryway, a candle for the first night, the New York book for the table.
Card idea: Congrats on the new place!
Thank-you gifts
A calibration problem: small enough to stay graceful, good enough to mean it. Desk objects, notecards, a box to share with the room.
Just-because gifts
The only gift with no deadline, which is why it lands hardest. The thing they mentioned once, a pocket-sized absurdity, a very small bunch of flowers.
Card idea: You need this. Trust me.
Last-minute gifts
What makes a gift late is not distance, it is shop hours. A candle, one good hardcover, a New York object, something from a real bakery case.
Card idea: Right on time. By my calendar.
