Whim is a modern shopping platform for New York City, powered by an AI concierge. Describe what you want, whether you are buying for yourself or sending a gift, and Whim sources it from the best local stores across Manhattan and delivers it to your door the same day. Delivery is always free.

A platform for local stores

Whim holds no inventory of its own. We bring the city's independent stores together in one place: their real products, their real selection, made available for same-day delivery across Manhattan. When you buy on Whim, you are buying from a local business, with the ease of a single modern app.

The Concierge

At the center of Whim is the Concierge, an AI that understands what you are looking for. Tell it the occasion, the mood, the budget, or simply what you want, and it returns curated options sourced from local stores, all available same-day, plus a draft card message when you are sending a gift.

Shopping and gifting

Whim is built for both. Shop for yourself when you need something today, or send a gift across the city with a card. Whim covers the moments that matter, from an everyday errand to a birthday, an anniversary, or a housewarming.

Where we deliver

Whim covers all of Manhattan, from the Financial District up to Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood, and is launching in New York City first.

Getting started

Whim lives in the iOS app, where you shop, use the Concierge, and track your delivery. The website is desktop-only for now. Join the waitlist at getwhim.app and we will text you when early access opens.
