# How Whim works

Whim is a modern shopping platform for New York City, powered by an AI concierge. Tell it what you want, to buy or to gift, and it sources it from local stores across Manhattan and delivers it to your door the same day. Delivery is always free.

## The steps

1. **Tell the Concierge what you want** — Open the Concierge and describe what you are looking for, to buy or to gift: the occasion, the mood, the budget, or the exact thing you have in mind. Or browse local stores yourself.
2. **Get curated options** — The Concierge sources real options from local stores across Manhattan, all available same-day. Pick the one you want.
3. **Add a card, if it is a gift** — Sending it to someone else? Whim drafts the card message for you, so it sounds like you on your best day.
4. **Same-day delivery** — A local courier collects your order from the store and brings it to the door the same day, anywhere in Manhattan. Always free.

The Concierge is Whim's AI shopping assistant. Tell it what you are looking for, the occasion, the mood, or the budget, and it returns curated options sourced from local stores, all available same-day, plus a card draft when you are sending a gift.

## Where we deliver

## Getting started

Whim lives in the iOS app, where you shop, use the Concierge, and track delivery. The website is desktop-only for now. Join the waitlist at getwhim.app and we will text you when early access opens.
