## Doormen, buzzers and the last hundred feet

This is where late gifts actually fail. A doorman building will hold it for them, so send the recipient's full name and apartment number and it will be behind the desk when they get home. A walk-up will not hold anything: put a phone number on the order and text ahead, because a buzzer nobody answers is a gift that goes back to the shop.
